Adapter has thread on both sides to fit wide mouth thread on First Need XL and XLE Elite purifiers, to thread on other containers. 

The adapter is designed to release the air as water is pumped into the container to prevent air pockets from forming.

Note: First Need purifiers directly connect without adapters to popular trail bottles.
