Water distillers may allow a tiny percentage of impurities; VOCs (Volitile Organic Chemicals) to migrate into the storage container during distillation. VOCs may include some pesticides and solvents, boil at temperatures below or very close to water (98 - 103C) . Distillation alone may not be enough to remove VOCs. Distillers equipped to remove these substances have activated carbon post treatment filters ie. carbon sachet.
